Introduction

For our first 2 lessons we spent time deciding what track we were going to do. We were trying to find a track that had no narrative therefore we could focus mainly on camera shots and the editing more so than the acting on the video. We all decided that if we had actors in our film it could possibly bring our grade down as we didn't know any good actors and no one in the group can act. Our final song choice was Warriors Dance by The Prodigy, we decided on this song because we can use a number of random but complex shots to fit with the fast tempo of the song.

We then came up with a number of good idea's for the video focusing mainly on the urban parts of Manchester as we are trying to produce a surreal video where we can play with time having some parts sped up, some parts slowed down and in some shots a collaboration of the two. The video is going to be abstract but also relate to the video slightly in parts, the reason behind our ideas is so that we can gain maximum marks by focusing mainly on the camera work and editing and not so much on making the video make sense as the song also displays this. Our video will be relating to the video director Spike Jone's work in the way that all his work has a sense of surrealism to it.
